The business was established in the fall of 1983, as J.B. Repair and Remodeling.  Initially focusing on home repair and remodeling, our cliental rapidly grew through word of mouth referral.  The business quickly grew and expanded to include steel building construction and new home construction, that growth has remained steady to date. 

Today we do business as John Blumhorst Construction.  Our company is unique in offering a wide range of services from simple home repairs, remodels and additions, to new construction.  This diversification allows us to always have projects scheduled, and with planning takes care of any seasonal down time.

John has intentionally kept his work force small, usually employing one full time employee.  By doing most of the work himself or working closely with subcontractors, he is able to provide an excellent product in a timely a manner.

Blumhorst Construction is licensed in Bonneville County, and carries the appropriate Liability and Workman's Compensation insurance.  

John is an active member of the Eastern Idaho Home Builders Association and is currently the First Vice President of the organization.  The organizations goal to help ensure quality, ethical practices in the local market are in line with Johns own practices.  He served as the Committee Chairman for the Parade of Homes 2001.  

By always providing excellent customer service and quality workmanship, the business has remained strong with continued growth.
